AT&T announced on Wednesday that it has extended its contract to provide telecommunications services to the County of Los Angeles, for an additional five years, in a deal worth $223 million.
AT&T already provides the county with telephone and data service, and will provide advanced features such as VoIP under the new contract.
Los Angeles has the option to extend the deal for up to 12 years.
